Emotional behaviour support

At St. Joseph’s Catholic Primary School, the care and well being of all our pupils is paramount. The school places emphasis on the care and wellbeing of its pupils. Parents can be assured that personal matters will be dealt with in a sympathetic and confidential way and are encouraged to discuss with the Head teacher or the child’s teacher, matters arising outside school which may affect a child’s work or behaviour.

The Family Workers

The Family Workers provide invaluable support to families and children of St. Joseph’s. They liaise closely with parents and carers, education and welfare services, and other agencies concerned with health, education and general welfare.

Behaviour and discipline policy

Within our community everyone is valued and individual needs are regarded as important. We recognise that each individual is unique and deserves to be shown care, respect and courtesy. In promoting and living the Gospel values within our school community we expect them to extend to the home and wider community that we serve. We expect all pupils to behave in a responsible manner and ask parents to support the schools policies and guidelines for behavior through the Home and School agreement.
